THE KITCHEN OF SOCIAL
GATHERING
Project Description:
The project is a place facility
for African women and women of African descent for their social activities,
instead of hiring places which are too expensive for them. The project is aimed
at ensuring a multicultural environment for African women and women of African
descent.
The project is:
-an ideal meeting point for social activities.
-a tolerant workshop for cultural differences.
-a model for other immigrant women and families.
Who Will Benefit:
African women, women of African
descent, their families and children, as well as elderly African women.
By providing a secure meeting point for women and an educational environment for
youth, the project will contribute to a social integration for women coming from
different parts of Africa. The project is as well a window of opportunities for
the elderly African women to be able to give advice to the African youth of
today in terms of problems in marriage, responsibilities, friendship, family
values and other important issues. This will make them socially active and will
give them a respectful role in the Finnish society they deserve indeed.
